Demon Studio - Overseer Horns

I have to admit I am now getting to the end of the Valhalla horn release, but I have save some of the best ones for last.
The Overseer horns are just beautful in my books. Strong, firm and imposing, but simple and elegant too, these are one of my favourites so far from the Valhalla line.

Priced at 225L$ they are in store now!

Violet Studios Bento items & News

Over the last few weeks I have had a lot of customers asking me if I will be doing bento items. For those of you who don’t know what bento is, or you read the announcement about it in December 2015 and forgot, Bento is a new skeleton of sorts offering a whole new series of bones to play with including face, tail, wings, hands and more. This obviously means creators like myself can now do far more with mesh work.
Since Bento was announced, I have had a long list of items planned. Fusion Ultima will be getting Bento ready hands, the Headworx project from back in 2014 is being brought back and will use Bento, and the demon studio will have Bento Tails and Wings. I may even do some more exotic items too.
The problem surrounding Bento is that until a few weeks ago, Bento was unfinished. I have been very cagey about this as Bento is complex, and the last thing I wanted to do was create a whole series of items pre launch, only to find LL's changed the skeleton or specs. As a result, while I have many items that are ready to go to bento, I have never actually done anything with them or really explored it in detail, waiting for it to arrive.
I had also assumed from past experience over fitted mesh that the 3rd party viewers would take weeks if not months to integrate the Bento source code in to the viewer. This would afford me time to get down to creating Bento items, however much to my surprise they seem to have done the job in a matter of days.
Anyhow, I will be playing catch up over Christmas and I will have items ready for release in January 2017.

Soapbox time.
I will not rant too much about this, but I am quite staggered by the fact Bento actually took a year. When it was announced in December 2015, I got really excited by this prospect. Provisionally I estimated that at the earliest, Bento would arrive in late Feb, latest May. In March I got the skeleton for Bento and did some provisional testing with it. By May, I was sat there scratching my head wondering what on earth they were playing at as they seemed to be still developing it. By the time August came around, I had lost all enthusiasm for Bento and given up on it ever arriving. When it finally arrived much to everyones surprise this month, I had all but forgotten about Bento. What is perhaps the biggest annoyance though is running through the Bento rigging and specs, I find that the Bento skeletons from March this year I got, are what has been released.
So what on earth have Linden Lab being doing? When they announced this last year I thought they had given creators an early Christmas present. Turns out I was right, but it was the wrong Christmas.

This next one, I am biting my tongue over. Sansar news.
Some years back I tried to calm the rumours down over Second Life 2 as it was dubbed by fear mongering users. Over the last year more details of Sansar as it is actually know have been learnt and I all can say is, what I said all that time back was accurate.
Sansar is not Second Life 2, it will not replace Second Life and it was never designed to do that.
Why? Here is some info. Sansar is not a grid as far as I can see. It is software designed to make grids, small ones it seems which is going to be licenced by LL's to outside companies. The reason for this is as follows. At the time of writing there is no market place for Sansar planned, there is no universal asset system each grid having its own inventory than cannot be transferred, there is no universal currency (no L$) as each mini grid is required to organise their own systems most likely paypal. In addition although subject to new info coming in, there seems to be no virtual world planned on the scale of Second Life by LL's outside of perhaps a sales demonstration grid for the software.
Perhaps more important is some of the technical details. The one that hits me hard is the viewer has no editing or building tools built in. This is one of the biggest selling points of Second Life. Sim owners or creators are required to use a special editing viewer. You can't rez things out on a sim. If you make changes, the whole sim has to be reuploaded from the editing viewer. That matched to the professional designer level technical knowledge means Sansar is not a product of the people. Its a product of the few with the right skills and it very inflexible.
From everything I have read over the last year about Sansar, it has all confirmed what I originally said. For me, I will be dropping this, unless something else comes out of the woodwork which is doubtful. Last word.
Sansar is not Second Life 2, it is not going to replace Second Life and Second Life will not be closing, merging or being absorbed. Your inventories, investments etc are safe based on what I have read over the details of Sansar.

Demon Studio - Xeno Horns

Normally, when I release a set of horns, they are usually designed to be something in addition, however the Xeno Horms are really something unique. This horn crown and almost hair has a very alien feel to it. The more eagle eyed will recognise these from earlier in the year in Busted Magazine however these have been reworked somewhat for a more demonic feel.

They are 250L$ and are in store now coming with all the usual U3 extras and materials packs.

Demon Studio - Valhalla Loreblade Horns

Always love Winter, and the associated Flu that comes with... All I can say is even if I am not fully better yet, I am back at work picking up where I left off.

A month back I started the slow release of the new Valhalla series of horns. Continuing with that theme, I am pleased to release the Loreblade horns.

These are quite different to anything I have produced before, featuring single multi spike blade style horns. With accented metal trims throughout and a design that sits off the head, Loreblade is one of my finest designs to date.

They are in the Demon Studio now, priced at 225L$

I would also like to say, things are getting back to normal now, so expect quite a few more releases over the next few weeks!

Fusion Cyber Studio - Mech Drider

No sooner than I got the Drider in store, requests started flooding in for other odd ball creations, but the big one I got multiple requests for was a Cyber Mech Drider.

Who am I to argue with that, and a considerable amount of messing around later, I am very pleased to release the new Violet Cybernetics / Fusion Cross over in the shape of the Mech Drider.

This is an extreme Cyber style body with animated glow sections.
There are 12 base textures of which 6 are two tone. As per the fleshy version of the Drider, the Abdomen and Legs can be textured separately. You also have Glow control over these two areas too.

Price wise, it is 2000L$ for the complete body, or if you own Fusion already, the Torso only versionis 1000L$. You can find this both in the Cyber Studio or in the Fusion Main Stores.

Here are some extra piccies to give you a better idea.

Fusion Ultima Drider

Sometimes, things go according to plan. Other times, things just tend to happen. This one falls in to the latter category.

That is exactly what it looks like. It's a Drider.
It is also not exactly the regular fare for SL when it comes to Driders.

This is a full on Fusion Ultima Drider, built in Fitted Mesh.
It features functional legs pain stakingly weight painted to give the best illusion of independent movement. Highly detailed spider body with multiple zone texture areas, 22 two tone body textures, Abdomen overlay with 4 choices of textures. Legs and Abdomen are separate texture zones too. It comes with highly detailed materials.
The Human side matched in perfectly to the Spider body, comes with all the usual Fusion Ultima Benefits including clothing, anatomy etc. It also comes in two version - Blending in or no blend giving you choice to use the skin of your choice.
The Upper body and breasts are regular Fusion Ultima models from the Genesis body, which also means you can customise both of these areas with your choice of Breasts and upper bodies from the Fusion Range.

The Photo Shows the body using the LTX Kalis Cyber Latex outfit in black, which is not included.

Demos are available so you can try before you buy. The Full body is 2000L$ - some would say that is a steal at that price considering the detail work thats gone in to this.

Already own Fusion? Don't worry. I did a Pix n Mix Torso only too. That is 1000L$ and will match to your existing Fusion parts!

You can find the Drider in the Fusion Main stores (Pheadra and Deaths Head) and in the Demon Studio too.

Enjoy!

Demon Studio - Valhalla Hunter Horns

What else can I say. The Hunter horns are stunning. With highly detailed ridged mesh design, heavy metal chain, piercing and spike detailing, with gem elements, these are very ornate and classy elegant horns. To add a little ages to them, I have added some rag flex elements.

They are available now in the demon studio for 250L$

Enjoy!

Demon Studio - Laya Horns

Another day, another release...

The Laya horns are a beautiful elegant twisted ridge horn set quite different from what I usually do.
Just one design with these, but I am sure you will agree, these are quite beautiful.

Demon Studio - Mai Horns Released

It has taken me a long time to produce these, but I finally felt up to it today.
Earlier this year I lost a very good friend and someone I was very close to.

We met on SL many years ago and I considered her to be one of the most talented designers I had ever had the pleasure of meeting with a natural skill rarely seen.

She passed away in February this year and since then, her lost has been something that has affected me deeply.
In order to remember her I built these horns which feature two of her loves. Latex and Tentacles.

You get two versions of the horns - the one shown above, and a latex version.
Also included is a Latex Unlimited 3 HUD and Latex Materials HUD. There are 19 colours of latex to choose from and multiple bone shine factors.

I have priced these at 150L$, very cheap considering what you get as I would like people to remember this wonderful person.

Sadly missed and never forgotten.

They come with both light and dark version.

In addition to this release is the new Valhalla U3 texture pack. These will work on all VS Tones demon studio products (as they are two tone) as well as a new Valhalla materials set.

These are available in the demon studio for free.

Expect a lot more from Valhalla over the coming few weeks.

Something Different

A very old friend of mine recently shared with  me some of his books written over the last 15 years. They have only just been released and considering many of my customers are quite inclined, I said I would give them a good word here.

These are quite adult themed books so be warned before you go there and deal with heavy subjects such as aliens, futanari, expansion etc. What is however impressive is that they are professionally written. By this they actually have a story and the story takes up a lot more than the naughty bits do.

Anyhow, I will give you the links. There are previews available and so far there are three novels to pick from. Best reading them in sequence though as they are an ongoing story.

The Books are the Symbiotica series.

Book 1 - Sum of their Whole
Book 2 - The Foundry
Book 3 - Bound Hearts

The last one was released today with apparently another two books due out before the years over.

Check them out, see what you think and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Flip side - whats happening with Violet Studios.
I know I have been quiet of late - having problems finding motivation, however I have quite a few projects cooking and at some point soon I hope to have something out.

Tudoto 1.01 Release (Fusion Ultima Integration)

As always I love to listen to customer feedback and at this time I have been working through some updates to Tudoto. The 1.01 release comes with minor fixes throughout the body however most significantly, Tudoto now comes, as you can see above, with a Fusion Ultima ready Torso as a new bonus item.
Customer had given me feedback that they would love to use Fusion Ultima upper bodies and breast with Tudoto and who am I to argue.

This is a free update so if you own Tudoto, go grab a copy!

This is at the more extreme end of the Fusion body design scale with extremely powerful legs and althletic style arms.

Pictures and more details are available on the Adult Blog

She is in store now with demos.

Tudoto Mesh Body Released

This one will probably come as a surprise.

Introducing Tudoto.

There is quite a bit of info there, but here is what you need to know.
This is a standardised body. Its not like Fusion in that you cant swap pieces out and replace them.
Its core function is to work with mesh clothing which requires one shape.

You get all of the other Fusion technical features such as Omega, ADV, Materials, Asymmetrical appliers etc.
The VSX Genitalia for Fusion will work with the body, as will the Special Legs (which have all been updated.

In some way this new body is when it comes to show hide zones superior to Fusion Ultima. There are over 100 Show hide zones with an intelligent set up system to help you get fast results (in testing setting up a generic style dress for show hide takes as little as 20 second).

But, really where this is superior in all respect is that it works very effectively with mesh clothing.
Tested over various shape files and with over 100 outfits, Tudoto worked with a good 95% of tested outfits so while its not perfect, it does an excellent job.

Being polite to the creators of these fantastic items Hilly Haalan gets all the credit for the clothing and Venus Shoes for the heels. I have provided landmarks in store to these creators.

As you can seen Tudoto is almost the opposite of Fusion with one body shape only, but offering amazing flexibility over mesh clothing.
Demos are in store for the body which comes in at 2000L$.
I have also written up a great deal of marketing data for this. Its worth a read.

On a side note, as I mentioned the Legs, I have at a customers request, build Amazon leg versions of the Furry Heavy legs too which are included in the update.

Enjoy!

VSX Fusion Genitalia & Demon Studio Synlata Horns

I am pleased to announce the release of the long awaited VSX / Fusion Female Genitalia. Cant say much about it on here though...

Here is the link

Next up... something completely different.
I needed some time to be creative on something that isnt going to take months or... well, years.

Synlata has been knocking around my inventory with several other projects now for some time, however I never got around to finishing them.
These are dark captial horns, they are quite basic and at the same time, very elegant.

They come in the usual Tartarus specs. Unlimited 3 Demon Studio integration offering hundreds of textures, Materials enhanced, and options for the "Tones" two tones versions.

They are 250L$ and in store now.

Enjoy!

Fusion Ultima vs Version 1

I have over the last week been inundated with messages from very happy customers over the release of Fusion Ultima, and the very positive impact the new body has had.
Needless to say it has all been very well recieved.

You know there is a but coming...

I think I forgot the old mantra of you cant please everyone though.
I have had a few customers wanting to go back to the older classic style of Fusion. Personally I dont fully understand why, but I am not one to stand in the way of this requirement.

For those customers who for what ever reason preferred the older version of Fusion, I have now reinstated the old body as an extra box in each pack.
This covers everything - Bodies, Pick n Mix, Implants, Wideloads and special legs.
If you want to get the older parts, all you need to do is wear the updater and it will be sent to you.

One thing I am going to be very clear on though.
I will not be updating Fusion 1 - Ultima is now current body. I am providing these parts as a courtesy to existing customers who wish to continue to use Fusion 1, however all future development work will be done on Fusion Ultima.

On other news expect more later today.

Fusion Ultima Balloon Doll Body Released

As promised a few days back the process of upgrading all Fusion bodies to Ultima Specifications is an ongoing job however with the introduction of the Fusion Ultima Balloon Doll body, we are now all but done on the migration to the new generation of products.

As with the other bodies, this is a free update for customers.
All you need to do is wear the updater to get the latest Ultima version.

I will be working on getting the Style heels updated next at which point the Ultima project will be completed.

Fusion Ultima Minor Bug Repairs

I think its fair to say with a project of this size there will be minor bugs creeping in here and there and to my surprise, so far there have only been a few.

I have just issued a re-release to the Ultima Bodies and universal basics pack.
This update affects the following Full bodies.
Genesis, Model, Athletic, Amazon, Ruben, Andro, All Woman, Skinny, Preg or Preg Skinny, and or the Universal Basics pack.

What were the errors?
There was a minor glitch in the Hands coding that was causing them not to function correctly on the left side nails and the left side tattoo layer.
In addition, our Omega Nail applier system had a tiny bug in how it was working which meant it wouldnt apply textures.

The Hands really are a must have update.
Optional if you want to use Omega Nail appliers, are the Daily HUD and Feet (all models).

Shouldnt make life too painful and apologies for these errors.
Simply wear your updater to get the fresh copy.

Now on a sub note, I have had people asking me about the differences between Fusion and Ultima, specifically about the shape.

For example, I have had one customer asking me why the Fusion Pregnancy skinny body seems to be bigger than the old one, and another saying that the Revolution Heliums are far smaller on the new bodies.

I would just like to say, I have no clue why these observations are happening. In tests of both of these items, wearing both the original Fusion 1.5 model and the Ultima, yes there are minor differences, but no, they arnt smaller, or different in any extreme ways.

Ultima is however a different body, laid out differently with an all new Topology and all new weight painting not to mention a whole new out of world production methology.
There are going to be differences due to these changes however, in my production environment, the working method I used was simple.
The original Fusion parts were imported in to the new Ultima base files, and then Ultima was adjusted and sculpted to be as close as possible to those original items.
In fact the only real difference here is this - Ultima is far cleaner and more realistic than the originals with additional detailing put on.

I hope this clears it up and as for them being radically different, I would suggest its more of an optical illusion.

Thanks for reading!

Fusion Ultima In Store

That sums it all up really.

A little information for you though.

Firstly, Balloon Doll is not updated yet - it is finished but requires some additional scripting work to complete. It shouldnt take too long though.
I am going to be working on two elements over the new week. Namely the VSXR Ultima functional Anatomy and updates to the Style Heels to make them full compatible with Ultima.

Outside of that though, Ultima is now in store.
If you already own Fusion or Pick n Mix elements, or the Revolutions / Wideloads, wear your updater. Ultima parts are now fully deployed.

Friday 1 July 2016

Fusion Ultima due very soon

I would like to apologise to my customers for this, but we hit a whole raft of snags and technical issues shortly after I put out that posting about Fusion 2 coming.

A few things have changed over the last month with the Fusion 2 project, including its new name.
Fusion Ultima.

I cant give an exact date and time for the release of Fusion Ultima, however I am aiming for this weekend (next few days) if I can get all the marketing work and finalisations done.

Here is the blurb.

Expect more on this very soon.

Friday 27 May 2016

Fusion 2 is coming!

As many of you will have noticed I have been very quiet for a few months now.
The reason for this should be obvious from the above, but I thought I would give you some background before launch.

Roughly a year back, I had a number of people asking questions about Fusion which led to me re-evaluating the entire product. It was things like in built genitalia and some niggles over the way some of the textures were seating. I had been aware of these for some time and they had been bothering me.
The problem was, to repair and make additions like this would have meant a massive rebuild of the original bodies and if you are going to go to such lengths to make repairs like this, why not go the extra mile?

In 2013 I started looking in detail at mesh bodies, and while I was competent with mesh, I was still on a very steep learning curve.
Fusion by its very nature is a highly complex product, and I am pleased at how it came out in the end, however the problem is Fusion is based on a series of rules that you cant simply come back and fix. To alter these rules, requires virtually every option to be rebuilt.
When I first started working with mesh bodies, I made several mistakes.
My First mistake was using the original Second Life body as a starting point. At the time it seemed like common sense really, but having worked with mesh now for an extended period, I now know that the SL body is ... well, rubbish. Its Topology is awful.
Then my Second mistake. I imported the bodies directly from Second Life, and this was a huge mistake, because when they came in, they were built in Tri’s, not Quads. I wont go in to why this is such an issue, but needless to say, it is the reason behind the Jagged texture errors that plagued me with the original Fusion.
Outside of this, there were niggles with the weight painting, how the body moved, issues with how I originally assembled Fusion and. Well, the list goes on. I know, I made one.

Fast forward to 2015, and I had been playing with the idea of doing a new mesh body to replace Fusion. The projects name was Tudoto (2.0 – get it?).
With this project, I took everything I had learnt about mesh and put everything in to one place.
The core Foundation for the body is not based on the Second Life body. Its all new, extremely well laid out and highly detailed, with clean Quad topology which cuts out any texture mapping issues.
This design has been finessed over the last year so that it is technically perfect.
On top of that, I have reworked all the Weight painted with new hybridised weighting system (using mostly Fitted, but in some areas rigged to get around issues). The body is now beautifully balanced during movement.
To polish off the body, you get more advanced breasts with seamless designs and realistic styling, and more importantly, she comes with fitted mesh genitalia. If you wanted a more functional version, there will be a VSX-R series naughty bits available separately.
Oh, and when (or if...) Project Bento arrives, the hands are already preset up for Bento so you will have fully functional hands which will bend, grasp etc. Sadly until it does arrive F2 will come with regular static style hands.

So... the big question.
When’s it going to be arriving?
I am hoping to get F2 in store within the next 2 weeks, assuming no spanners drop on my head. The bulk of the mesh works done now. I will probably finish the mesh work by next week while the body is over for scripting.
And of course. The big point.
Yeah, I am insane. This is a like for like, free update for Fusion customers.

Stay tuned.

ADV2 Update Competed (Important)

Yesterday, I posted that I had finished the ADV2 Omega Repairs to Verotic Skins along with a Omega Hands and Feet Upgrade.

Today, I am pleased to say I have now completed the Update and Repair to all ADV2 Appliers.

Included are:

Demon Studio - Abyss, Torya, Elyssian, Elyssian Sleek Muscle and Veyra Skins. These have all had the Omega Fix and now have hand and feet upgrades to avoid the nail overlay on certain mesh bodies.

LTX - These have been repaired and reissued. There is no hand and feet appliers upgrades for these as the skin never came with nails. Included are the Original LTX skin and the Rubber Girl Skin.

Finally in Hanabi 2.0 I have repaired the Omega systems on the Zoe, Drenai and Skunky skins.

To get your updated copy of the ADV2 applier, simply follow this method

For ADV Customers - Inside the implant applier folder you will find there is an updater.  Simply wear that and a fresh copy will be sent to you.

For ADV2 Customers - Find the ADV2 Implant and Mesh body hud, and wear it - again a fresh copy will be sent to you.

Verotic Female Skins - ADV2 Update (Important)

Late last year I released the second Generation of ADV appliers, the ADV2 Hyper All in One applier covering ADV, Omega, Materials and various Implant Support.

Since its release, there were some niggling issues over how the HUD was working in Omega mode. On occasions, the HUD would texture just a part of an Omega body.
We verified that everything on our side was working correctly, so over a period of time we managed to help Omega track back the issue on their side and repair it.

This release is specifically to deal with this issue and when in Omega Mode, the applier will now work without fault.
I would like to apologise to my customers for this issue and sorry it took so long to work out.

In addition to this though is an upgrade.
Many mesh body makers out there have created their hands and feet without toe or finger nails, to give a cleaner look for their integrated mesh nails.
I have had customers mention to me that the texture nails on my skins were causing problems, and I went over to investigate how bad the problem was.

The new ADV2 update now comes with Omega specific hand and feet textures designed without finger or toe nails. The process is automated in the system, however for those who arnt using mesh nails, the system will preset the original body texture first before it sets the Omega hands and feet.

The Demon Studio ADV2 applier update is currently in the works and should be out tomorrow.

Casper Vend Migration

When I first joined SL I bought the leading vendor system availabe at the time, Hippo.
Since then, with my collaborative projects such as vString, Wideloads, and Fusion I have been using Hippo to deliver products and also give redelivery to customers.

In September last year, I had several customers complain the redelivery system wasnt working. I checked it over, looked in to the reasons why things were not working, and found nothing, however these complaints persisted, and after spending time with my customers trying to isolate why this wasnt working, it turned out it was the Hippo system itself.
I sent Hippo's owners a notecard, and didnt hear anything from them. So I decided to see what was going on. Investigating, I found their main sim had gone, and the only reference to them in world was a parcel that was locked down and you couldnt get on to it anymore.
I also talked to a few business friends who also confirmed they were having problems with the redelivery system.

As a result of this ongoing issue, and lack of resolution from Hippo, I decided at the start of the year to move to Casper Vend who have it seems been putting significant investment in to their vendor system.
I am pleased to say that after a great deal of work, I have now migrated Violet Studios to Casper for those products previously on Hippo.
I have also migrated the sales lists from Hippo too, which are now integrated in to my sales records for Casper, hence there are new redelivery terminals in world which work.

VSX & Sveller Labs moved to Pheadra sim

Earlier this week I posted about the sims changes going on at Violet Studios.
I am pleased to say that the majority of the structural changes are now complete and all stores have been finalised.

Firstly Sveller Labs has now moved to its new home on Pheadra. This isn’t per say Violet Studios, but it is one of my projects now for over five years offering a hang out for implant fans.
Those customers who are regular should update your landmarks.
I have also taken the opportunity to do some upgrade work on that area too.
The old home for Sveller on Tuck is now decommissioned.

Secondly, the VSX store has had improvements design wise made to it and virtually everything is now migrated. Again, nothing new from the last post except the fact the original VSX store is now decommissioned. I have updated all the VSX landmarks in store, on the Market place and via the update system.

The Tuck sim will remain active until the 5th April 2016 after which point your landmarks to that sim will no longer work.

I will be doing some additional tweeking of the sims over the next week to finalise everything up.

Thanks for reading.
